Dana Ripley

Dana was first introduced to Yoga through her high school soccer team and was immediately hooked when feeling the sudden expansion of space in her body. She spent the first few years of her practice learning through Comcast and YouTube videos, and eventually took her first live classes through CorePower Yoga in 2012. After several years of learning the physical postures and flows, she was introduced to meditation through a class at CSU and shortly thereafter, realized that she wanted to switch her career focus from psychology and counseling to bodywork and meditation.

Dana started her career as a massage therapist in 2014 and immediately wanted to learn and share more self-care techniques that would empower her clients to maintain balance in-between appointments, so she signed up for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Samadhi Center for Yoga and Meditation in Denver. Realizing that the breath and the mind were key components to finding physical relaxation, balance, and strength, she focused heavily on learning breath and meditation techniques through her time at Samadhi while learning to lead Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative practices.

Passionate about integrative health and wellness, Dana has worked in a variety of settings across Colorado, and continued her education through sound healing mentorship, independent study of Polarity Therapy and Ayurveda, Reiki attunement, and training in Watsu aquatic bodywork. She loves to work creatively and intuitively to help bring forth the body’s innate wisdom and healing potential.

Dana has been teaching groups and individuals since 2015 and most enjoys leading slow, mindful vinyasa flows to build heat in the body, while creating ample time to pause, breathe, and transform the body’s alignment with restorative postures throughout. Her classes are gentle and community oriented, so that every practice will be shaped and guided by the seasons as well as the present moment needs of everyone in the group.

With Yoga Nidra, Yogic Sleep, being one of Dana’s favorite practices to lead, you can expect a long and deeply relaxing shavasana with mini massages and sound healing to close out every class.
